If music and songs continue to be accessible via free digital downloading?

Will songwriters, musicians and producers continue to create new music if they are not compensated for their creativity and subsequent efforts?
Kinda what I was thinkin.

    Yeah that’s kind of what I was thinking too….it seems like now a days no one really buys CD’s. They just get it off of Limewire or Kazaa or places like that.
