How do I create a CD or DVD of my digital photos that is playable on the TV?

I Got What U Need asked:

If I need to buy something, what is the best affordable software (nothing over $50). I have tried Movie Maker with no luck. It went through the process and burned the CD but it wouldn’t play. Doesn’t have to be anything really fancy, adding music would be nice but not required. I have around 400 photos that I would like to fit on one disc, is that possible? thanks for your help! If your instructions work….you get best answer!

I use a free image/media organizer called Picasa from google. Picasa is a image organizer, with also the capability of burning photos to a gift cd which will also work in your dvd player. it also has a great backup program in it. I use it to organize all my photos and back them up and create slideshows with it and wallpaper..
